Philips D2S 4300k Xenon HID Single

A Xenon HID lamp is a High Intensity Discharge lamp composed of a mixture of gases including Xenon. Unlike a halogen lamp that uses a filament, it has an electric arc created between two electrodes to generate the light source instead of a filament. It requires an electronic starter for a quicker start as well as a ballast in order to work.

The Xenon HID lamp offers twice as much light as a halogen lamp, and consumes less power (up to 50% energy saving). This offers drivers enhanced visibility, while allowing the vehicle to save electrical power for other functions.

The white light produced by Xenon HID lamps is similar to daylight. Studies have demonstrated that this enables drivers to concentrate better. This kind of light reflects more accurately on road signs than traditional lamps, thus enabling greater safety in difficult conditions.

Philips D2S bulbs are not for aftermarket HID Kits, they are replacements for Kits fitted at the manufactering stage.
